How Long Does It Take To Hit 191 MPH In Cayenne Turbo?

When talking about powerful SUVs, names like the Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentayga, Maserati Levante, or Audi SQ7 could top your list. And of course, the Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Its third generation has performance figures that should be the forefront of ultra-powerful SUVs, and one that emphasizes the ’S’ in SUV.

On paper, the Cayenne Turbo stands out with flying colors – its 4.0-liter V8 biturbo power plant can produce up to 550 horsepower and 568 pound feet of torque, allowing it to smoke the 0-100 kilometers per hour (0-62 miles per hour) in just 4.1 seconds. It also has a top speed of 286 kph (178 mph).

However, AutoTopNL was able to push it further. In this video, these speed junkies were able to push the Cayenne Turbo to 307 kph (186 mph), which is way beyond the SUV’s numbers on paper. Wow. And guess what, it was able to do the daunting task in just one minute and nine seconds.

This got us to thinking, is it really possible? Well, there’s this video as proof. We wonder how and why didn’t the guys from Porsche get the same top speed record for its beloved SUV.

Also, with these numbers, the Cayenne Turbo is almost at par with the Urus’ top speed of 190 mph. That’s while the Lambo has a more powerful engine at 650 hp and 627 lb-ft torque. How we wish AutoTopNL could do a top speed test on the Urus as well. Maybe they could get a higher number for the bull SUV.
