WATCH A DODGE CHALLENGER SRT DEMON GET WALKED BY

This is one instance where driver experience could have made the difference

The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is an incredible piece of machinery — with its 840-hp 6.2-liter V8 and drag-racing focus, it should have no problem out-running its less-powerful stablemate, the Hellcat. But like most motorsports, drag racing isn’t as simple as having the faster car. You need to know how to use it, too.

The video above shows a Demon owner get walked by not one but two different Hellcats. Now, we don’t know how modified these Hellcats are. But the bigger issue is that the Demon is almost two seconds off its optimum time. Instead of using the Demon’s factory-equipped transbrake. It looks like the Demon driver is lightly loading the car’s driveline with just the regular brake system and a light application of throttle.There’s no doubt that this Demon driver will get better at wrangling all 840 hp with more seat time, but in the interim, he’ll probably make a lot of Hellcat drivers happy.Article By: WESLEY WREN
